7/1/13 SARAWAK IS THE PILLAR OF THE NATION..(original title Sarawakians....together we must stand)

I was born on 18 Feb., 1960. Malaysia was formed on 16 Sept., 1963 ie a week after Sarawak had agreed to the idea of the the formation of the Federation of Malaysia. Thus, I was almost three years in existence ahead of Malaysia. And I'm just three years younger than the birth of Independence Malaya. The childhood pain, the hard maturing, but I do pray not the aging of this Nation, running parallel with my livelihood. In this article, I want to say my piece that Sarawakian as a whole, must Stand as One, to ensure our socio-economic welbeing proceed to greater. But we don't need the 1Sarawak slogan. This writing and all my writings are not about I'm in support or condemning of anybody, but I stand to my own belief of the truth and our future fate if we are not smart enough to see, hear, feel, think and act. I write with no fear no favor stance. I believe I'll be happy if the Nation is great. I would prefer to die just as Imam Bukhari, choose to be if the Nation is going down the road!

(2) In the natural disaster theory of the metrology, worst disaster will recur for every 50-100 years. Why? The scientist are struggling to answer or even be certain about that. Their predictions are mostly based on normal observation. But why? To me, from a human perspective, 50 years cover three generations of mankind. In the Chinese proverb, their business wealth will never last to the third generation, why? What does it really mean? Even in Islam, the personal glory of Muhammad SAW never pass far into his descendent. In most cases we will only learn to Hassan-Hussein (the grand sons), and Zainal Abiddin (great grand son), but not of much equivalent. In the Al Quran indeed, its revealed many nations had been demised from this Earth due to certain reasons. Most were in defiant to submit to Him. The nearest and latest case in particular Malaysians or Malaysian Malays Muslim should be reminded was the Achech Tsunami. Out of the flatten hundred thousands of homes and all sort of structures, why did the water left the Masjid to stand high or left so much orphans while their parents were washed to death. Indeed the Masjid and the orphan kids are the symbols of the innocents, the purists. In many verses of the Quran, there are sayings: As along as there is even only a purist among the defiant societies Allah will spare him and or such society from His anger. But, He did also remind, we can't simply take His All Kindness for granted. Many times He reminded us of the people of Luth, the people of Moses, the people of Pharaoh, etc.

(3) This year, if we take Malaysia as an entity, we are about 50 years old. Even if we take Independence Malaya as the starting point, we are just about 56 years old. Within the margin of error, we are still in such Metrology 50-100 years Natural Disaster cyclone. Indeed today, for the past 10-15 years we are trapped in the political and economic disastrous cyclone. Should we allow these to continue and make Allah impart something disastrous then only make us realize and repent?

(4) The struggle for Independence Malaya and the formation of Malaysia was initiated almost simultaneously in the 1950s. In those post-WWII the spirit of anti-West, the colonizer was rooting deep in the whole of South East Asia (SEA) particularly in the Philippines and Indonesia where the character of the colonial masters ie the Spanish and Dutch were overly oppressive as compared to the British. Abdul Rahman Al Haj mooted the idea of Malaysia to Singapore, Brunei, Sarawak, North Borneo and Malaya as partially a short circuit to Independence. Nonetheless, the erotic Sukarno, with his dream to form Indonesia Raya, saw Abdul Rahman effort as against his interest to place the whole of Borneo into his greater Indonesia. On the other hand, as a political game of Macapagal to undermine the Sulu-Moro, he wished to make North Borneo (Sabah) as part of the Philippines, back to the armpit of Kesultanan Sulu thus making the Sulu-Moro felt rewarded and therefore could be easily tamed. Both Sukarno and Macapagal against the formation of Malaysia. Thus, as a flamboyant strategist firstly Abdul Rahman Al Haj, in line with the request of the United Nation not to form and declared an Independent Malaysia, but instead he declared the Independence of Malaya on 31st August, 1957. He just want a solid platform for him then to pursue the formation of Malaysia. He used the Independence Malaya to crystalize Malaysia. That is history. That is fact that I picked up from Sukarno Ganyang Malaysia Speech, a book, officially compiled and published by the Indonesian Government, at his time.

(5) People, Malaysians and Sabahans in particular should appreciate why we have two great historical dates ie 31st August and 16 Sept. While we are happy to throw big party to celebrate our Birth Date, it is honourable to as well celebrate our Parents Birh Days. Do we not? I'm happy to note, Sarawakians, do understand this and keeping up to this. We Sarawakians, should remain firm to Our Collective Values. In deed in this world, if one remember the Independence date of America, it was not the date where America exist as the Total Nation as it is today. Hawaii and Puerto Rico, for instance was annexed much later than America declared its independence, yet as a Nation, they just accept such date as their Independence date. Hawaii never demand the day they joined America as their American Day. Yet some Malaysian made a great fussy over historical factual matter and such becoming a National Unity issue. What a joke! We drage the Nation to petty issues rather the greater fate of the Nation.

(6) We, the Malays, in particular should appreciate the accidental visionary of Abdul Rahman Al Haj in forming Malaysia. Without which I would anticipate Sabah (North Borneo) would be enslaved into the poor Spanish-American-robed Nation of the Philippines while Sarawak would be enclaved into the greater Dutch-poverty driven Indonesia if not engulfed by the hungry PAP of Singapore and made us into 'street sweepers and or prostitues' just as what happen to the natives Malays-Boyan-Bugis-Javanese Singapore of today. Thanks God, Taib Mahmud is a great believer of Abdul Rahman Al Haj as wwell as P Ramlee and to me both were flamboyant Malays Startegist. Again we Sarawakians, know these and we keep to our lives of those. In any P Ramlee movies, he took racial unity as prime though he most of the times make it as a joke, and Sarawakians keep such values intact.

(7) The Malays of Malaysia of being majority are Muslims I would say had been well observed and blessed by Allah. The accidental visionary of Abdul Rahman Al Haj at least had made the Malaysian Muslim Malays stand much outward than all the other Malays of South East Asia (SEA), be they Pattani, Cham, Sulu-Moro, multi-ethnic of Indonesia pribumi, and even the Kedayan of Brunei. Agreed or not, the Malaysian Muslim Malays are the much advanced Malays of the Earth. But we can do much better if we choose to. To me, the Muslim Malays of Malaysia must Stand as One to provide a savior, the Messiah to those depressed other Malays of SEA. The Cham, Pattani, Sulu-Moro, Rohingya and surely those minority mutli-ethnic natives of SEA need a much fair and just Malays' regional leadership to care for their better future. The Peninsula Muslim Malays and in particular Najib-Muhhyidin, must see their role from the greater SEA Malays and regional Islamic perspective rather focusing micro-managing UMNO. After Mahathir, I would believe, Najib-Muhyidin, must push hard for Malaysia to be One Mile Ahead rather now we are Back Stepping to the Past.

(8) Taking the Sunnah as our foundation, Muhammad SAW despite his victorious acceptance in Madinah, was never happy to see his other Arabs being oppressed and abused by the Persian (Iraq) and Byzanthium (East Rome) which includes the Palestine-Jordan-Syria-Egypt. He never touch on the friendly orthodox Christian and Jews of the Habsah (Ethopian). But he did also expanded his liberating hand to the south of Arabia covering the Yaman, Oman, Kuwait and many smaller states. Najib-Muhyyidin should be able to read from such works of Muhammad SAW and his sahabah. He didn't micro-managed Islam only for Madinah-Mecca, but he pursue Islam as a universal prospering an harmonious values for all human kind. UMNO as it is will never be able to take Malaysia to a much greater height. Najib-Muhyyidin, both are the descendents of the migrant must be daring enough to have mind shift to go beyond UMNO as their greater struggling plateform, not even with the BN I would believe.

(9) Taking Sarawak as a case in reference, I would say Taib Mahmud, over the past 30 years (since 1982) was very fortunate with the solid support of the Muslim Malays of Sarawak. Though he did faced great challenged in 1984 and 1986 by PAJAR and PERMAS, but thereon, he got his PBB rock solid under his controlled. Those minor turbulence I would believe were due to some frustration of the Muslims Malays for not getting the equitable treatment. Taib and the present PBB boys should keep in mind of such and take their responsibilities to the most truthful and significant. Nonetheless, with such great support from PBB, despite there was a great political rift in PBDS the Dayak-based party in 1996, as well as the 2011 SUPP, the Chinese-based party, Taib managed to sail well. PBB, the Malays-Dayak based party had given Taib the best endeavor to steer and press hard for the better socio-economic development of the State.

(10) Being the true believer of Abdul Rahman Putra Al Haj and P Ramlee I would say, Taib is a living flamboyant strategist that worth for Najib-Muhhyiddin to observed and learn from. Nik Aziz Nik Mat should also look seriously at Taib's Ways of Sustaining Sarawak Independence yet friendly to the Federation. Taib may look flamboyant especially in his bow tie, but that is only his camouflaging acts not his heart. To me, Taib mind is clear and straight. Abdul Rahman Putera and P Ramlee are his mere fashion show but Abdul Razak Husein and Mahathir brains and hearts are his true innerself.

(11) Internally, within the PBB, Taib has no jittery. His grip is sound. Despite the poor support of the Chinese in the last election, he can still walk tall. But Sarawakian must never take such for granted. The strong and stable PBB is not about all. To me, having a strong and solid PBB is just like having a nice beautiful home, yet not necessarily having great neighbor. We, the Muslim Malays of Sarawak must really understand and take iktibar of Muhammad SAW especially Umar Al Khataab expansion of Islam to cover the whole of Arabia, Persian, and North of Africa. Indeed it was not about their glory, it was about human kind. To me, externally, Taib is facing a great challenge. How and why?

(12) First, domestically, the Pakatan Rakyat (PR) love to see Taib to go as much as they want UMNO to collapse. Definitely somebody surrounding Taib also love him to go to have a feel of his seat. Taib, or Sarawak in particular, is the pillar of the present Barisan National (BN) political power. Sabahans as it always be, keep close eyes to Sarawakians. As long as Sarawak remain stable and able to move on, Sabahans will always learn to trail closely. Thus, if Taib is disturbed sure Sabah is an easy prey for PR. That is Anwar-Lim-Karpal calculation. Nik Aziz they just leave him to his Pondok. Pity, an honest naive Nik Aziz. Accordingly, stability in Sarawak also means great future economic prosperity for the Nation. Thus, in order to topple the BN or UMNO, Anwar-Lim-Karpal must ensure Tiab to go and thus the economic development of Sarawak be affected and therefore easier for them to menangguk di air keruh. Didn't Anwar as Finance Minster not take Asian Financial Crisis as his greed to sodomise Mahathir the worst?. To me Sarawakian should be smart enough to see, hear, read, feel and think on all these wierd political games out there. My worry, what would happen to us, the normal decent citizens if we are not aware of these? Did all these not similar to the cases why Allah was so mad with the people of Luth, Noah, Moses, Pharaoh, etc. Indeed, the metrology therory is always there as P Ramlee saying; Hidup seperti roda, terus berputar, titik mulanya kembali sampai saatnya

(13) People just want to shackle Taib and or Sarawak, as to take on Najib and or Malaysia, politically and economically. That is the price Sarawakian must pay and or should be pround and determine to defence. We indeed is the pillar to the Nation.

(14) Secondly, as I have said in my recent entries, South China Sea is now in the Monsoon Season. Very stormy. China is in the economic and supper power uprising. The same with India. We are too strategic to be located in the Center of East Meeting West. About 500 years ago, we are the Entry Port of the Silk Route which then attracted the greedy Far West to take all. Today, the Far West, the American and European economy is at the limping stage. As I earlier had said, even 500 years ago, they had been working hard to cripple both Indian and China and what make them not behaving the same at this time. The Arabs due to their stupidity of not Beholding to the Rope of Allah they are always and forever in the mercy of the West. Will the Muslim Malays not be just as them if we continue to ignore Allah saying: I have given them the light, yet they keep to the dark path. I would say, internationallly, there people would love to see Malaysian being lead by kerbau dicucuk hidung.

(15) In the Far West Thinking Box, they won their superiority by nothing but Wars and Chaotic of Others. Asked Bush or Tony Blair, how to make this world better? Their answer won't be anything else but war. Nethanyahu would just smile with deep rooted in his soul nobody on Earth is worth the Jews, all are pariah, and they don't deserve to be around. Where and when in history had the Far West did make any nation to stand Free and Prosper by the attitude of Friendship and Support? From the Roman (with the Arabs and Jews), to the Inca of Latin America, to the Mexican, to the Red Indian of North America, to the Chinese with the Opium War, the German, to the Japanese, to the Vietnamese, to the Chambodian-Laotian, to the Australian Aborigines, name it where and when, all indeed, the West stood through blood and miseries of others

(16) What do all these having bearing on Malaysia and Sarawak or Taib in particular. In term of International Politic and Trade I would believe Najib have poor advisors. In the past, we noted people such as Ghazali Shafie, Abdullah Ahmad, etc. They could guide Razak and Mahathir to sense the true international games of the Super West and East. In those days, we have tons of Civil Servant and Private Sector experts to analyse all these. In the past, moving and defending the Nation are our concern. Malaysia was not easily trapped into the disadvantage games of any. Indeed, they served the Nation to their very cunning patriotic smart and when they left their international jobs, they were penniless. They have to work hard to earn their retirement lives. But today, I would believe, those in those portfolios no matter how small their position are, most I would believe are eager to retire and enjoy lives. Indeed we had lost too much of our patriotic values. In my simple observation, when some Malays see the Chinese are wealthy, they are fast to be wealthy as well, but the Chinese not only are wealthy individually but they grow as a society, yet the greedy wealthy Malays are blind and deaf to such values, yet they die to claimed they are Muslims! May Allah blessed their heart to be clean with the Zam-Zam even in their pride seeking Hajj and Ummrah.

(17) To me Najib-Muhhyiddin, are too much directed by those young Harvard-MIT advisors whom are not tested to go through the hardship the Nation had went over. Probably Najib himself had forgotten the suffering of his relatives in Pekan so much so, he see those inexperience untested young tugs surrounding him as his best advisors. Najib still lacking very much of personal wisdom. Why? May be he is still a kid that love to walk his father path yet undersatnd not of such footsteps. I'm questioning his Razak's honesty and real leader of the people traits.

(18) Indeed I would say, all these while Taib had remain Independence of his State Economic Policies. He also all through had been displaying his neutrality in his Domestic and International Political Likeliness. In my last 25 years public service, very very very seldom did I see him ever join the Prime Minister in the International Trade or Political Mission. He prefers to do it among his own State people to countries where he believe could deliver the best to Sarawak. Once I saw him was very close to the West (Europe, America, Australia, and New Zealand), slowly maneuvering with the Arabs, Japanese, Korean, Taiwan, Indian and now much with the Chinese. Indeed, P Ramlee when he acted he either choose between Sudin-Aziz or AR Tompel as his co-actors. He seldom changed his buddies, but he kept his movies liken by all. I believe, P Ramlee has his far flamboyant message that Taib read well. That the very reason, despite all the turbulence Sarawak managed to keep stable, and improving at its own pace. Taib indeed had provide Sarawak a true National and International reputable leadership that is of envy of many. Indeed, I would love to again iterate, here Sarawak is the Pillar of the National Political and Economic Management Model

(19) Among the best Taib development policies that I really subscribe very much was the Lessening of subsidy giving out. I'm glad that the Sarawak Muslim Malays in particular took such policy nicely and now are moving to see how Corpratization is the better option of their future Economic Management. The Sarawak Muslim Malays must know to berdikari and really subscribe to the Quranic verse that they themselve must make themselves better. They must learn to struggle on their own. No doubt it is an upheaval struggle but, as my Kampung illiterate friends always said, even it is not easy on the virgin bride-broom first night.

(20) The effort to take Taib down will mounting hard. I began to see both domestically (corrupted) and international entities will swarm Taib with lots of disturbance. They are in the process of attacking the State systems from all angles. How would Sarawakian face it? All is not because Taib is too bad, but just to satisfy both the domestic and international political and capitalist greed. They have done such to Mahathir, Sukarno, Lee Kuan Yew, Chuan Lek Pai, and so they would love to keep everybody along the Philippines Political and Economic Management Model. To me, if Taib is successful to turn Sarawak into the Nation Power House, the Industrialization Level of the State and Nation will be very different. Whether Najib realise or not, the present economic slow down in Peninsula Malaysia is due to Energy Cost. Malaysia is no more an Energy Cheap State. Malaysian dependence on imported petrol and coal to fire our energy is a serious risk that we must worry most. Najib lack his vision to make more employment rather giving more subsidies for his people. But, as Allah had promised, as long as His Ummah is thankful He will always having a way to place a Messiah to solve our problem. Sarawak and Taib indeed are the pillar to our present Political and Economic Distress. In time of hardship, we the Muslim Malays must always recalled back the wisdom of our forefather whose saying Tiada rotan, akarpun berguna.The Moonson in the South China Sea is nothing, all is about Energy. If Najib pay too much attention to this, and not smart enough to see the better alternatives strategies we might be trapped into the cold economic war that easily ride him off.

(21) Sarawakian as my last call, we must stand firm to proceed to turn Sarawak into the Nation Power House and manage our Water Resources brilliantly as we must know, Energy is our soul and Water is our lives. We must remain focus to generate future wealth to our people and lessen our political greed. Economic Independence in the current fluid market is something of great possibility, and thus Sarawakians must move fast to be the Model of Successful Free-Just Enterprise Society. We must stand as the pillar to the Nation political and economic management endeavors. In land matters, which is the source of Taib domestic political problem, I would say He has to learn from the Sunnah and Sahabah approach. Firstly Muhammad SAW has no land management problem. Everybody was happy with the way he administered the land and wealth issues. But as time passed by, conquests brought different elements of social paradigms, Abu Bakar As-Siddique and Umar Al Khataab differed in their approach, of which thing became very complicated in Osman Affan's period that cost his own life as well as Ali Abi Thalib. Indeed, Allah just want us to think how best we could use our brain and heart to keep the people well off. But surely domestic political and capitalist greed are something that Taib also is aware and having great dilemma to manage. But nothing is unmanageable if we choose to.
