17/4/12 THE WALKING ABOUT FEELING GOOD OF NAJIB...

I was away from MyTown home couples of day ago. Upon my return I was happy to see new plants being planted along the road side within the Matang Jaya Commercial Center. I have been longing wondering why the developer and even the council had not taking landscaping as aesthetic business promotion effort within this community. Looking at them closer, I began to wonder, are these planting a genuine effort or what? Seem lots of rush jobs to me. Some of the seedling were planted on soggy ground, to my mind are they planting tress or fish. May be frogs!

(2) On Saturday morning, normally when I look down from my SmallHome window, definitely I'll see the street down under already busy with some small traders luring their customers to drop by to buy whatever they can offer. But, this Saturday morning was very much different. It was extra quiet. Well, probably it was still too early, at about 0630 hours, so I just then keep myself busy with my normal daily 15 minutes get healthy indoor exercise.

(3) By 0900 hours, I left for MyKampung. Two road blocked were made. I can't either took the immediate left or right turn to the Main Road either through a block behind mine, or through the housing areas. I was diverted to take the Court Mammort junction which is 3-5 kilometers away. My normal route will be a mere 500 meters to the Main Road.

(4) Once I was at the Main Road then only I realized that Najib was on a visit to the Matang Jaya Pasar Tani. Banners with Najib waving to the crowd were hung along the Street Lighting posts along the Main Road leading to town. It says: Najib Visit the Matang Jaya Pasar Tani by 0800 hour. As I reached the Petra Jaya Round About, only by 0930 hours did I saw Najib motorcade enter the Matang Jaya Road. He was 90 minutes late than the advertisement.

(5) Najib's idea of going around to meet the rakyat is noble. But, seeing what is happening within my neighborhood, the feel good that Najib may have especially during the walkabout in Matang Jaya, I would say: Najib had been bull shited. Firstly, the Pasar Tani is artificial. The real location of the Pasar Tani had been shifted a block away from the normal location. Why? Partly, I would believe, the area look messy with poor landscape. Secondly, I would say, about 40-60 percents of the pasar tani participants were not those that used to trade there. Thirdly, the customers attending to the Pasar Tani where not the normal dwellers of the Place. They came in nice free T-shirt. The day Matang Jaya Pasar Tani, was an imported event to make Najib feel good. What a pitty?

(6) What was Najib objective of such Walking About? To meet the people? Sure he did met the people, but for what? To please the people? In what sense? What would be his final objective? My nearest guess, he what the people to feel good and thus to vote for his Party by the next general election. I would believe, to some extend, he did achieved that. But as a whole, I'm worried he is walking about in illusion. His mechanism didn't gave him the real true inspiration of the people. Najib, being sealed from the truth of the walk of lives true perception!

(7) The way, the road block and diversion of the traffic made lots of people not happy. The Police didn't study on how to ease the road users. Their concern was PM security. The call by Najib, to avoid protocol and all those ceremonial matters either not being well understood or the call was just a mere call. Secondly, shifting the Pasar Tani to such a window dressing effect, made all those shop operators which directly affected felt unhappy. For two days, they lost their normal business gains since all the needed car park areas were badly affected ie occupied by the Pasar Tani Stalls. I also doubt the Pasar Tani do perform well. Two divergence of interests. Najib want the people to feel good, but his mechanism, made the people hate his presence.

(8) I hope all his other walkabout effort were not artificially organised just to make Najib to feel good rather than the people, his voters. If not, then I would say it is much better for Najib just to spent his time in Office and really go through details and let his kaki including the civil servant to really deliver. I hope, Harapkan pagar, pagar membawa rebah will not happening. Our country need genuine and real to earth leader. Najib and all those leaders, be mindful of being happy to see and hear what you love to see and hear!
