When I was at my Elementary School level, I love to paint. In those days, since I stayed in a rural Village, located at the fringe of the Sedilo Peat Swamp Forest and by the Sadong River which either line by coconut palms and or mangrove trees especially of Avicenia acida (?), locally know buah pedada or perpat as called in Peninsula Malaysia, I used to paint all those serene landscapes. My favorite painting was landscape; about a winding river or lake , running along the mountain range, with some houses by the river bank and sailing boats at the distance. Sun set setting was always my expertise. My dad used to sit by my side as I paint. These paintings probably was an early manifestation of Allah on me; to be a botanist or later a socio-economic development planner.
(2) Then when I further my study at Lower Secondary level, my painting becoming much abstract (sketches of complex mind) and microscopic ie focusing on much detail objects such as flowers, fruits, etc. Among my lady schoolmates, to this day they remember me because of my painting which sometimes create great envy among my boyfriends. Again I believe, Allah gave me an early indication, that my thinking process would be both abstract and precise. My fate was directed toward abstract and precise thinking of the people plight and ways to solve them. My painting indeed were my early thought of macro and micro planning process, but no body realise such, thus I landed as a deviance botanist as my Lecturer Datuk Prof. Dr. Latiff Mohammed said every time he meet me.
(3) But when I entered my Science Stream Mid-Secondary Education level, I don't know why I never want to continue with my painting skill. I totally neglected my gifted talent. Nonetheless, my painting skill helped me a lot in my Biology and even in all my classes at the University level. I can just drew anything on the board using the technical pen, which was very ray among the scientist. In fact now I regretted for not keeping to my talent, as I believe, if I still could do so, definitely those means money. Today painting is a real expensive affairs.
(4) When my two kids were at their kindy and elementary school, I made them to attend painting classes. All was about, to help them in the Biology classes in case especially if they want to pursue for medical and technical studies or even natural science related subjects. If one care to study, world wide, great nations are those among the citizen whom could master in painting.
(5) Now, I want to go back to painting, but not as painter, more of trader. Probably, that was the very reason why I left painting, took my science development skill, but serving as socio-economic development planner, implementer, and manager. Allah is great in determining one fate. My fate probably is to help the artists whom normally are very seclusive and not monetary-phyllic person.
(6) For those who love painting and want to have some as deco or remembrance of the past, herewith I posted those within my collection for sale. You can reach me through my email add at asahamat@gmail.com.
(7) You can view my collection either at my TownHome, VillageHome or MyStore Cafe at Kg. Terasi, Sadong Jaya, Asajaya. I had posted some at Nusantara Restaurant at Lorong Simpang Tiga 1, Jln Simpang Tiga, Kuching (opposite the Spring and behind the RHB Bank).
Nostalgic indeed to have no table and chair, luckily with gasoline lamp, if not just a mere Karosene lamp to study, in the cool night, in those days. Allah is great, he made one poor for one to succeed well (this was part of my life, and not for sale) .
(8) I did my thesis on the Ecology of Wild Orchid of both Bukit Takun in Templer Park and Batu Cave in Selangor for my Bsc (Hon) degree. I was crazy of wild orchid, and mind you I wet up those Bukit Takun and Bt Cave alone. In certain months I just spent a night or two up there without accompany. That's me, once I'm crazy of my search, life or safety were always my second count. But that how Allah had set the natural law, those who dare, will get what they want and safe from fears that many scare of. I dream of finding a black orchid and surely none, but I'm going to have that painted soon. These are among the orchid collection that I have, in numerous imaginative colors: red, pink, purple, green, yellow, and orange. I would add blue and black into the collection.
(9) Painting indeed is about one's memories and feeling. For instance, the following painting (on the left) was painted by someone who is now in the 50's. This painting is what he seen or experienced about 40-50 years ago. The painting is about a young mother preparing his spices for her cooking. Today, the same preparation will not be on pounding basis, but electronically blended. Thus, among the today young artists, say those in the 30's, they would not be able to visualise the same character anymore. Thus, this painting in 20-30 years from now is a real asset. The price could rocket to 5-10 times of the original price.

Assalamualaikum ..
In the good old days my drawing used to be the laughing stock in the art class.
But thinking about it .. some abstract paintings look similar to my drawing. Maybe if I keep up drawing / painting I should be as good as Picasso or Salvadore Dali .. who knows.
I'd like someday to see and apreciate your collections.
tgn berseni. memang telah diketahui sejak dulu lag.
