(2) The Hijrah to Medina (28 June, 622) had changed everything. In fact Medina is the starting point for Muhammad to exercise his strategic leadership talent. Here, he didn’t only preached, he practiced what he think and say. He led the way. He shown the way of the true Islamic Adeen. He built an Islamic State from ground zero. He built it from conflicts. He built it from all the threats. He built it through hardship. But one thing for sure, I believe, he believe in Medina as the right starting place, because he must had been passing this City, on his olden day trading journeys from Mecca to Damascuss. What I meant, is that, apart from Muhammad being guided by Allah to lead His followers away from death, Muhammad personally do have his own talents and determination. God just facilitated him to succeed! God gave Muhammad all the freedom to act as a normal person, though he was chosen a messenger!
(3) Medina, is the first Islamic City State. Medina, the community, the place is the exemplary true Islamic State and Community built by His messenger, a first hand development of Islamic Adeen (Way of Life). Allah purposely created all the circumstances that would facilitate Muhammad to show to the Muslim the hand-on ways of building an Islamic Place and Community. And surely, the existence of the Nabawi Mosque, the first mosque, with a promised of 17,000 pahala per every pray done there, was and is a centripetal force for Muslim to be there, to learn the meaning of Muhammad Hijrah, the things that he did to make his Muslim community to be great, then to greatly succeed in the next greater course! That is the purpose of Nabawi and Medina, in one Place, built by One Messenger, Muhammad, with guidance from the One, Allah!
(3) After eight years being away from Mecca did only Muhammad able to walk into Mecca and then made his real victory, ie liberating Kaaba from the nuisance and the stupidity of the Quraish praying to the manmade 360 gods! This is the message, Muhammad built his (and Muslim) strengths through the painful test by Allah in Medina, by firstly able to build Medina as a prosperous living place for all, not only for the Muslim. Muhammad then gained a greater respect from the surrounding population and settlements, ie a respected leader, a true leader. His successful leadership, was then rewarded with greater dignity and honor by Allah, when he walked into Mecca without a fight by those whom eight years ago would love to see him crawling on his knees to pray for Abu Jahal and Abu Lahab and submit to their cruelties and misdeeds.
(4) Three things that UMNO people must learn form this Muhammad legendary success and his life span. I’m talking about UMNO because I believe UMNO had gone through all the process of building the Malay State. Surely I believe UMNO wants to build an Islamic Malay State, and we do as well, with the early development of Medina as the mirror example.
(i) Medina Islamic State was build for all. Here, all the systems developed by Muhammad were to provide peace, security, safety, and equitable socio-economic opportunities for all, not only for the early Muslim (who came with Muhammad from Mecca), but the local whom later were the new brothers muslim, as well as the traditional enemies of Islam: the Jews, the Christian. Muhammad never treated anyone worst or better than the others so long as they uphold to the Aqaba Pledge. Though DEB/NEP is nothing equal to Aqaba Pledge, it has the same spirit as such. To safeguard the existence of the Independent Malay State and its populace. Thus, I have deep respect for UMNO on this, and we must not easily be forgetful of this! Thus UMNO must survive to carry with it experience and aspiration. All UMNO people must work on this. UMNO through their past honest leaderships, had walked along the path of Hijrah (Merdeka), such, UMNO must remain strong and honest to keep the spirit and struggle alive!
(ii) Building Medina as an Islamic State is, I would say was Muhammad’s first greatest success. He knew, he was entrusted to do so. He was assigned to build an exemplary Islamic Community as the guide for the future Ummah. He did it. He made it. He, in our modern eyes, had accomplished his prime duty to Allah, if he was us, he would have walked tall and proud, but he didn’t! He kept being humble and low profile! And despite his great success, he left Medina to the good hands of others to continue his Islamic adeen vision. He easily passed back Medina to the hands of the Aws and Khazraj. He didn’t hold to his success. He move on to Mecca, and able to cleaned up Mecca from the dirt of the 360 goddess of the non-believers! The question is what is this 360 magic number? Is that not another Plan by Allah, that to make a person clean, he needs to make a 360 degree turn around. Surely the Quraish can make even million of goddess statues, but why do they stopped at 360. I believe, this is the smartness of Allah, He made their mind to stop at 360, and later, we discovered 360 is the full cycle of geometric formula, 360 degree. If one makes a 360 degree turn one is back to basic, to the same point, as the Malay proverb says: Sesat di hujung jalan balik ke pangkal jalan, 360 (degree) turn around. UMNO must make a 360 degree turn around, to make it strong and be greater. If Muhammad is able to clean the 360 stupid manmade gods in Mecca to enable the glorious success of Islam thereon, I don’t see why UMNO must not learn to make a 360 degree turn around to go back to the early spirit of UMNO. Muhammad get rid of the 360 gods of Quraish to ensure that Kaaba is back to the old spirit and function when it was first ordered to be built by Allah! UMNO must do the same! Make a 360 degree clean up and be back to the old spirit, to develop, to protect, to preserve the Malay Muslim State (for all)!
(iii) Muhammad died at the age of 63 years old. That is at the glorious stage of his success. Able to build an Islamic Medina State, and now able to put back Mecca in its original perspective. Definitely, upon the cleaning, Mecca became a better Islamic State City than Medina. Again, Muhammad had really accomplished his duties and responsibilities as the messenger of Allah. But, Allah took him away at that glorious time! Why? Don’t we think? Don’t everybody think? Don’t the old guard in UMNO think? What was that Grand Plan of Allah? I believe, did He not implying to us that, we must be happy with some success, we must not hold too much, too long to our success, we must be willing to pass down our responsibilities to other to carry on. UMNO must read this clearly. We must as well! All of us!
(5) In the current context, in Najib struggle to rebuild UMNO, to me, Isa Samat should not stand as the next Teluk Kemang DUN by-election candidate. He had made his success in the past. He had made Nilai, Pilah, Seremban and even Port Dickson a good places. His age is catching up. His health and vigour is not as young as he thought. Time had gone by. Thing had changed. Let him go and rest with the past success and guide the new to fight better in the different world and scenario! Just give out, like Muhammad passing over Medina to the others! If he make a come back (though the people in Kemang support him, my only question is it a genuine support?), first he may be seen as a threat to the existing leadership and or groups, this sooner or later will create an internal fight within UMNO; second, the young would see UMNO is slowly betraying them, the young want the young and honest leaders with fresh new pragmatic ideas to lead the country, thus if Isa is the choice, I believe UMNO will have a greater nationwide younger generation mistrust, there might be a silent resentment, they will softly hate and kill UMNO, UMNO will never can come back: Kata tidak dikota! And sure, thirdly, the opposition have all the leverage to kill Isa of which in fact is to kill UMNO! Isa was in the near past found not acceptable by UMNO and yet now UMNO at no concrete reason reversed such outlook so easily, what a contradictory. Though Isa might have not been proven guilty by the Common Law, but he had been branded as such by nothing other than UMNO itself so will the Malay proverb will not applied here: Bersaksikan lutut, dilemma, or worst Meludah kelangit terpecik ke muka sendiri. Isa may win, but UMNO will loose, worst if Isa lost, UMNO will be gone! UMNO or Isa? Isa if you stand, you will stand to figh both internal and external force. I could see, Negeri Sembilan UMNO would be in jeopardy!
(6) To me wouldn’t Isa effort to come back not going to be seen as his desire to revenge against whoever that had tarnished his image and position. If so, then Isa coming back is nothing for good but being eyes and intend to achieve certain personal agenda rather for the course of the Malays strength. Did Muhammad re-enter Mecca to put his vengeance against all those who had made him suffer? Or was his Mecca conquest was purely for the strengthening of Islam? UMNO is not equal to Islam, but I have strong fate, that UMNO existence is as a tool to strengthen the Malays, the Muslim!
(7) Let UMNO and Isa Samat learn of Muhammad heart of being able to give, forgive and move on for greater glory. Muhammad is Allah well planed and selected person to show us the way, and he did all of it as a natural human, nothing being as exceptional as compared to Moses, Abraham, or even Jesus, except most of us are only lopsided thinker, worst we never think!
(8) I hope, between UMNO and Isa (and all the other old and some nuisance guards), if you don’t retire, I think UMNO will retire. RAHMAN theory will be 100 percent right, right in the hand of Najib
(9) I hope, toward the end of our 2009 Ibadah Puasa, our mind keep acquiring and understanding of the meaning of the glory Quran and the true life of Muhammad in his course to build an Islamic Life among His people! I begin to think, that might be the rahmat of Lailatul Kadar, Allah blessing night. Probably, I hope I’m not wrong!

Phrase (7) says it all, we never think. If the leaders of UMNO today had put their thoughts in the right perspectives, we would not be seeing what we are seeing today, the young and the not-so young too, are bored and tired with promises UMNO never kept. More often than not, today's leaders of UMNO have greater self interest , above anything else. How on earth then, could they, or will they be ever given the blessings by the Creator?
May it be Isa Samad, Rafidah Aziz, Samy Velu and all those in the same old batch.....may they realised that time has come for them to retire and be playing advisory roles like our Tun Mahathir. Let the young run the country. Let them stumble upon blunders so they may learn and grow with the growing Malaysia.
To put UMNO guys in retrospect of the Prophet, i believe they come no where near. Islam has been made the official religion but have never been made as a way of life in this country. It is a religion to be worshipped, never practiced in its own practicality, not by the leaders of UMNO. Perhaps Nik Aziz come close as a self examplary figure, but again, his team of PAS leaders are questionable.
It feels like we are winning a losing battle in our own country. The NEP was a good move but the implementation needs beefing up. We need UMNO leaders to think and to realise that they are there for the rakyat and because of the rakyat.
Moga bayu bening di subuh ini meningkatkan kesedaran yang ilham yang dikurniakan.Amin
I hope, no one think that I'm equating UMNO with Islam, and UMNO leaders with Muhammad. I placed Islam and Muhammad as a backdrop of my simple analysis, if no UMNO people take it serious, we as a group or individual should take Islam and Muhammad totality Way of Life as our guide. I emphasize on the word TOTALITY! Though we may not able to achieve it, but we must make serious effort to be there! Thanks.
